James J Loll

James J. Loll, Esq.

James J. Loll has been practicing law in Beaver County for over thirty years.  He is a lifelong resident of Beaver County, and a graduate of Beaver High School.  Attorney Loll received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Allegheny Collage in Meadville, Pennsylvania.  Upon graduation, he attended and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

While in law school, Attorney Loll held internships with Neighborhood Legal Services and the District Attorney’s Office.  Attorney Loll then began his legal career with the law firm of King, Bowman and Ruprecht in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

In 1984, Attorney Loll brought his practice to Beaver County where he formed James J. Loll, PC. Attorney Loll has experience in a vast array of areas of law, and has focused his practice on estate planning and administration, corporate law, tax law, personal injury and family law.  His current practice is focused on estate planning and administration, elder law, tax and corporate law, coal, oil, gas, shale gas, mineral and energy law, and real estate law.  He has held and continues to hold various solicitor positions throughout the county, for municipalities and housing cooperatives.   His experience as solicitor includes landlord tenant matters, construction contracts and employment issues. Attorney Loll has had experience with many government agencies including the EPA, OSHA, EEOC, the LCB, the PA Human Relations Commission and the PA Bureau of Worker’s Compensation.  Attorney Loll has been honored to have been appointed by the Court in various capacities throughout the years, including as a Master for both civil and family proceedings.

Attorney Loll is an active member of the Beaver County Bar Association, where he has previously served on its Board of Directors and on various committees.  He is also a current member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the United States Tax Court and the American Bar Association.

Bea Diaz-Cothen, Esq.

Bea Diaz-Cothen has been with James J. Loll, PC since 2014.  She grew up in Miami, Florida and she moved to Western Pennsylvania in 1998 in order to attend college. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Ethics, History & Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  After graduating from college, Attorney Diaz-Cothen attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

During law school, Attorney Diaz-Cothen held an internship with the City of Pittsburgh Law Department. Upon graduation from Pitt Law, she began her legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Deborah Kunselman with the Beaver County Court of Common Pleas.

In 2009, Attorney Diaz-Cothen, along with Attorney Dana Kwidis, opened Diaz-Cothen and Kwidis, LLP.  specializing in all areas of family law and criminal law. In 2012, Attorney Diaz-Cothen temporarily relocated to the Atlanta area with her family and Attorney Kwidis brought their practice and joined James J. Loll, PC. Attorney Diaz-Cothen returned to Beaver County in the fall of 2014 and joined James J. Loll, P.C.. Currently, Attorney Diaz-Cothen focuses her practice on estate planning and administration, private adoption, contract drafting and review, liquor license transfers, and real estate matters. She also practices in the area of Juvenile Dependency.

Attorney Diaz-Cothen is an active member of the Beaver County Bar Association. Within the BCBA she has served as a member of the Charitable Fundraising and Giving Committee, the Women in the Law Committee, and is currently the chair of the Pro Bono Committee. She is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
